The original straight axle and leaf springs in good, tight condition with good, balanced tires and proper alignment is plenty easy to drive and safe. Those axles can be dropped up to 4" if you want to put it in the weeds. The entire front suspension crossmember from a 63-87 has been installed but the front track is too wide... I suppose it could be narrowed. There's an article here about a camaro front clip in an A-D truck. Some of the full color magazines have vendors selling susp kits for everything. The best choice will depend on what you want to accomplish. Good luck.

Here is where I bought it at and you can read up on it: http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/32927/CORVETTE_C4_SUSPENSION_INSTALLATION_KIT_FRONT_8896.html . Due to funds my project is going rather slowly so I don't really have any picutres to show it installed. About a month ago I did finally purchase all the corvette parts to go on the crossmember once I do get it installed. Please let me know if you have any questions. Here is the people who engineering the crossmember they supply: http://www.flatout-engineering.com/products.htmlCarson

You could easily change your front hubs to match the bolt circle on your rear end and put some spacers on your rear to fix the tire rubbing problem. I am doing an old school job myself and since I had already stripped the clip and drive train out of a Camaro, I went that way.
