Hey everyone,

I know that the hood and fenders on the big bolts are different than the 1/2 ton trucks, but are the grills the same. I am talking about the 47-53 chevy grill style.

Thanks

The grill in the 1/2-3/4-1ton trucks are all the same. The 1.5 ton & up grills are taller & the grill bars themselves are about an inch taller then in the smaller trucks. You can use the larger grill bars to build a grill but you need the side & middle braces from a smaller trucks to do so.

You will have to modify the side tabs on number one grill bar(top)or it will smile at you.I would hold out for half ton grille bars. The 1.5 ton up the grille bars are also taller or thicker, just don't look right in a 1/2ton.

Thanks Guys. I ended up buying a 1953 shortbox parts truck this week so I have most the stuff I need and more. And the grill is good.
