I posted in the Welcome forum also but have yet to get any replies. I saw the truck while flying with a freind. Hiked into where it is and was excited with what I found, so I contacted the property owner and he told me if I could get it out I could have it. Cut trees and made a trail to get the backhoe into it. Took a few days but I think the effort will pay off. I was originally looking for old tin to build a hotrod, but after seeing how unique it was, I have now decided to get it going as is. Looks to be a Ernest Holmes model 485 Wrecker unit, with Factory Holmes Service Body. The model 485's were built from Jan. 1931, until June 1935, with only 139 units built.
