My truck is a 1953 on a 64 frame. The only way the front clip was connected, was by the lower radiator support. The fenders connected there and the Previous owner then welded a plate to hold the lower radiator mount to the frame.
I had to cut the lower radiator support out, i plan on rewelding it back in and to the fenders, but was wondering if their is another way i could brace the fenders to the frame to better support them | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | that's about the way it was from the factory, fenders attach to the cab at the back, and the rad core support at the front, any attachment you'd make directly to the frame would be counter-productive, no adjustment possible for fitting everything up, especially the hood
