It is a straight six and I can't find the number from engine block in any references. See this picture of my block numbers. Can anyone tell me the size from this number? Can you direct me to an internet page where this number exists? http://www.hoopzonebasketball.com/1951EngineSerialNo.jpg Thanks | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | It's a 216 from a 1949 3100, built at Flint.

I think you still need to do that to get your question answered. If Google can't find that number anywhere on the web I doubt we can either. Sorry.

The "G" is abit faint, and can look like a "C". GBA is listed in the Chevrolet Truck ID Numbers guide.

That makes Bill's information correct regarding your block being a 1949 216 for a 3100 truck. Post these codes, if you need further confirmation. | | |
