ive pulled the old 327 that was in my 58 napco and discovered why it was parked(hole in the block) so thats junk...after cleaning the engine bay(6 buckets of crud)im repainting the bay black as it should be...my question is can i take high heat paint and repaint the rad or do i need a special rad paint? ill send before and after pics of what i think and engine bay should look like!

Don't think it necessarily has to be hi-heat paint. if you use a good etching primer and a good enamel paint (I use krylon in the can) by Sherwin-williams, it should work fine. Good luck!!

Any black paint will work for a radiator as long as its not real heavy. I find the $.99 store brand of flat black works really well for radiator fins, and a better brand of semi gloss for the tanks. As for the frame and such, any of the better brands will work as long as its grease and oil free.
