Hey All,

I'm a new guy from Calgary Alberta, Canada (& sometimes Yahk BC). I have been lurking on here for a while reading and learning.... now it's time to get a bit more active.

I bought this 1951 Chevrolet COE:

It is going to rest where it is, on a farm in Saskatchewan for a while until I complete my current project and plan this trucks new life.

I am likely going to do a chassis swap onto a 1989 Chevrolet 3/4 ton truck I have that is in awesome mechanical condition.

I also bought a 1949 Chevrolet pick up to get the 9 foot box to use on the COE:

AND... a grain truck to get the visor and other bits 'n' pieces:

By The Way... If you know which truck this last one is feel free to let me know. I bought it from the picture alone. Also... you need any parts from it? Let me know.

Looking forward to sharing with everyone on here,
Gregger

Welcome Greg, love those COE trucks. Will this be a working truck? Good luck with the swap and rebuild.

Thanks for the positive wish.

Yes, it will be a working truck... same as my current 1989 Chevrolet 3/4 ton (because it still is), only way cooler.

Welcome to the Stovebolt,Gregger. Proud of you for saving the bolts and putting what you can to good use. If we don't save them no one else will.... and besides, sounds like a nice plan for that COE. It is definitely a good candiate for restoration.

Let us know how we can help.

Oh, I'm not sure what year model the truck in the field is but judging from the door glass its Pre-'51

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome Gregger from Ottawa! My truck spent most of its life out in Saskatchewan working grain as well!

See you around the bolt!

Mark
