I had thought about modifying the 1/4 inch aluminum spacer plates that are sold with the 6 lug disc brake kits, or seperately to space the wheels out. This approach is definetely cheaper, as I already have a set of 4 4x4 center caps.
I nominate this to go in the tech tip section. | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 | Good work there, and really great piece of recycling of the stock 6 lug rally wheel center caps too.

Someone made the centers out of a can lid. I used some of the round wide view mirrors from the parts store. They are chrome reflective and come in the right size, cheep too, a little rtv and you are done. | | | | Joined: Apr 2000 Posts: 179 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2000 Posts: 179 | Thanks for the kind words. Stuart, I really would have rather been able to make a set like yours. They are almost to nice to cover up with hub caps.
