| | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 | hey guys another fab question. my front radiator support is really screwed up. so i removed it.heres whats left. now i need to either fix the original or fab another. i have some nice rectangular tubing or i thought about buying a 34 ford front crossmember which looks close in dimension. i am going to box this section so i am open to all options.

The 34 ford would be a good choice because as you said it is very close ! That would be my choice looking at your old one! | | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 | i quess i am going to try form one out of the rectangular tubing i have because its cheaper. actually started work on it and its turning out pretty good so far. have a few more pie cuts and welds to do but its starting to look really close to the original as far as the bends are concerned. i think it will work out very well. i will post some pics of the finished product tomorrow.

Nice job on the front cross member /radiator support. The pic links didn't work so I went into the first post and followed your photobucket to check out the pics. Your work is interesting so I'll be looking forward for any updates.

Do you do this kind of stuff for a living or just a hobby? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 | no just for fun. i bought this truck when i quit drinking so i would have something todo in the garage other than sit their and get smashed. although i think i was more creative when i was drunk. lol i have a mindset that i can do anything so iam not afraid to try. some times it works and sometimes it doesn't. some day i will take pics of some of my projects and post them for you guys to see. as far as the crossmembers i am still working on my trans cross but now that i have started i will probably replace all the other crossmembers also.
