If you like picking up a deal when it's on, I love this high speed metal saw. I have been using one to cut 16 and 20 gauge steel for my patch panels. Works really well. My favorite tool from Harbor so far. Just $15.99.

There is a coupon in the flyer I get in the mail for this saw at $9.99!! For that price I think I'll try it.

Yeah that's what I remember paying for it. I think it was a coupon in one of my magazines. It's really quite handy for the money.

I had great luck. Use it all the time. Maybe mine wasn't built on a Friday.

Yep, some of that stuff is well worth the price. Especially since I only have one main tool place I go to in my area, and I think that they get their tools from the same factory sometimes. I live in BC and travel down to Bellingham for HF.

By the way MO, if you are reading this link, you said your saw didn't work out of the box. I don't know why that is, but there is a screw that holds the hinged cover where you put the blade on. If you over tighten that it drags on the saw. If you still have the saw try loosening it off. Seriously, mine cuts through my sheet metal (16 and 20 gauge) with no problem. I oil the saw every day and keep a sharp blade on it.

Does that saw use a lot of air?

no it doesn't but the blades don't work very well on real truck metal. works ok on the thin stuff.

Get the right blades for the gauge of your sheet metal (16-20 gauge, as stated in the manual) and it will work fine.

I used Starret blades and they work fine. Not sure of the tooth count, I'll have to check.

i replaced mine with a cp and threw out the hf i was that mad. anyway i ordered it cause i needed it. after waiting the two weeks i was very frustrated. as far as blades if your not making tight curves you can use a ground down sawsall blade. cut the little tail off the mounting end and shorten the blade up to desired length. that way you can get a good milwakee blade that lasts.
