I removed the filter & lines on my '54 235 years ago, don't recall why, and connected the line going to the head in the wrong hole (front/return).

Now I'm trying to put it in the right hole (rear/pressurized) but the fitting is the wrong size. I'd like to tee out of the pressurized hole to feed the head and the pressure gauge but I can't figure out the fittings/sizes/threads I need. Does anyone remember what these are? The pressure gauge line is really tiny and the head line is about the same size as the fuel line.

Thanks.

Classic parts has a kit that contains the hoses & fittings. It has 90 degree elbows & swivel fittings. It makes the job easy.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Thanks Wrenchbender, I'll end up going back to the filter w/new hoses like you said. But, I was hoping to get it done today (minimal trips to the hardware store) by-passing the filter.

Well, I got it plugged. The pressurized line seemed to be 3/8" x 27tpi that connected to the small comp. fitting going to the gauge line. The return & head holes fit 1/4" pipe plugs just fine; now I know why as well. I pulled the rocker cover to make observations.

I get about 30-40psi on the gauge but no oil out of the rocker holes . Now to get my hands really dirty.
