In looking into changing my transmission, I found this device
http://www.abbott-tach.com/cablex.htm
I haven't used it but I spoke to them. They were very helpful on the phone.

It's only $325, and I thought it was going to be expensive!

The Cable-X device seems to be the only game in town, other than ripping into the tranny!

I just found out that Sun (Sun Tach folks) have a couple of universal electronic speedos! They are around $150.00 if you can use them. $200.00 cheaper than cable X!

Give these guys a call. http://www.zepco.com/ I converted a lot of cable driven spedos and tachs to programmable electronic during the 80's and they have people that understand speedos and tachs.

The company that makes and sells the "Cable X" is www.abbott-tach.com/cablex.htm. I have spoken with them and they are willing to take their time with a novice and help you "spec out" what you need.

For Sun, try www.sunpro.com/
