Here's a link to one of the 250's we just built. 2 more are in the works as well as TWO 292's.
(I posted this on Inliners, but just in case someone on SB wants to view it.)
This one has 'chamber' work, i.e., bigger valves - 1.94 / 1.50, Chevy 307 Flat Top Pistons, the Intake Bosses removed (but not Lump Ported)running an Edelbrock 4 bbl 500 cfm manuel choke on an Offy Intake, Custom Grind Cam and Hedman dual long headers.
Hawkins Custom Machine Shop did the work.
Enjoy!

I was thinking the same thing Jerry. You've saved me the trouble of saying it. WTF?

OK
Now that this is Built, does anyone KNOW what the 'sweet spot' should be?
2300 rpm's?
Basically, I'd like to know what it will run at ALL DAY on the Power Tour and NOT over stress the Engine.

Everyone assumes these engines will only work at lower rpm's but they will easily handle a good deal more than 2300. In fact 3000 is not unreasonable to run all day.
If the engine is properly built then there is no worry. There is nothing going on inside it that isn't happening in a V8 that runs up to 3600 all day.

As for a "sweet spot" that is where it feels and sounds good. All engines will vary according to build and application.

I'll go along with that. My stock 250 "wants" to run around 3000rpm, which happens to be a little over 55mph...I have to hold 'er back!
