Can someone recommend a Spartanburg mechanic and/or Bolter who can help check out a 52 half ton I hope to buy? I would like to put this truck on a lift to check out the IFS, brakes, and rear end. I would also like to do a compression check on the rebuilt 235. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I will be coming down from North Carolina to look at this truck....I don't know who to talk to in the Spartanburg area.

Thanks for your help, Dave

Dave, depending on when you come down I may be able to help you out. I'm just across the interstate from Spartanburg. I think I'm probably 4 miles to the center of Spartanburg.
I work part time monday and friday till about 1pm. Give me a call 864-5997414 I know quite a few folks in this area.

EDIT: I also know a shop just a mile from me that would probably put it on the lift for you for a small fee/token. Also I've known the mechanics there for several years. So, if its necessary I think we can work that out to.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Sorry I missed your call. I've been in the shop since 10am this morning. Got a LOT done today.

Next Friday is OK with me. Hot dogs and Pepsi at 1pm smile
