Would it be correct for me to assume that the suspension components such as shackles and spring pins and other frame parts from late 40's and early 50's 1/2 ton trucks are the same as my 46 half ton.NAPA does not seem to list much pre 1947 stuff but the components look the same for 47 and up.

Thanks Glenn

Try looking at some of the vendors for our old trucks such as our sponsor in the left corner of your screen. I'd imagine stuff may be the same. A look at a parts book from that time period should set you straight. You may want to be more specific what you are looking for for your 1946.

Thanks, Im specificaly looking at spring shackles ,spring pins and the brake components no listing for pre 1947 but alot for 1947,48,49 50 etc. Just wondering if these parts interchanged for a couple of years, makes it easier to find, noticed that some of the parts listed in vendors pages fit a number of years.

Thanks Glenn

i was told for my 37 that the front from a 51 would fit just fine plus you get the advantage of newer brake setup smile
