Try googling the number. I did and came up with this-

Early SM420--Cast#591907,837334,591926,591593

Late SM420--Cast#3761930,3813389,3837334

Well I answered my first question by google. It is synchronized!! But can I put it with my 248? Should I I have it in the shop right now with the tranny dropped out. Man I think I would like to put this transmission in my truck. It would be a heck of a lot easier to drive right???
