Bad leak from the front seal. Where do I buy the parts to fix this? Have the 4:56 diff. Thanks!
By the way, just did the t-5 swap, hei ignition, carb upgrade. She runs like the wind, but that leaking diff is wrecking the buzz.

You should be able to buy the seal at flaps. My yoke had grooves where the seal goes and I had to use a speedy sleeve. The big nut takes a whole lot of torque to remove. Folks generally use a 3/4" impact gun to do the job.

Hey Fred, if that "Speedi-Sleeve" was an SKF, you don't happen to still have the number do you????

No I don't but I believe that you can look it up on the SKF site using the diameter of the shaft. I think actually NAPA sells the seal and sleeve as a set.

Yeah, I can measure it when I get it apart, and I have the SKF catalog on my computer,
but because of the mild winter I'm still driving Bluebelle and I don't want to tear her
apart. Was hoping you still had the numbers so I could pick one up at Motion Industries.
The NAPA (Balkamp) sleeves are way cheaper than the original SKF Speedi-Sleeve but I
prefer the SKF's because they have a better surface finish, have the stiffening flange on
them for driving them on and come with the installation driver.
Thanks anyway,
DG

Now I need the part number for my 51 1 Ton!
Anyone have the part numbers for the seal and the speedi sleeve?
