I am stripping out the interior of my 48 cab. It looks like the center brace that runs across the underside of the roof needs to be removed for prepping and looks to be spot welded on the ends above the door jambs. Does everyone take that off, or do you just clean it up as best you can between the brace and the underside of the rood? I hate to take it off if it isn't necessary.

Are you talking about the brace across the top of the windshield?

I believe he's referring to the center bow for the headliner.
On my 50 it floats

His 48 is tacked in place
