Has anyone used restoration shop products. how do they stand up to the bigger name brands. do they cover good. I want to get some swifts red for my truck any input is thankful, Glen

It would seem not... When I asked about it on a paint forum it had a less than enthusiastic response.

Red is a semi-translucent paint as it is, and typically your cheaper paints will have less pigment in them, thus requiring more coats for coverage.

If you are looking for a good low cost enamel paint, try Van Sickle Paints. My Dad has used them on several old tractor restorations over the years, it holds up real well.

I'll second that Whitedog. Made in the USA too. that is the paint I used for my truck.
