I have 17.5 rims (not duallys)and it's getting hard to find tires, i have tried to use 70-80s wheels but they are to wide on the front and hit the tierods late model wheels are metric and don't fit the old lug patern, would old 16x6 rims fit my ton? or would they be to small to clear the tierods? i can fit the 70-80s wheels with a 1 inch spacer on the front hub, but that would cause the wheel studs to be to short to tighten up the wheel, and i wouldn't want to space the front wheels that far, anybody got any ideas? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 725 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 725 | Take a look at Ford 16.5 x 6.5 8 lug wheels from the '70s. They work fine on my 1969 C20.

I know of some other guys that have tried this, but had no luck. There are also companies out there that make 16" 8 lug rims for trailer. Again, some guys say they fit, others not so much.
