The sway bar on my Panel mounts to the frame totally different than the bars on my Suburbans. I'm not sure if they are interchangeable.

This one came from a 52 Suburban that I put on my 50 Pickup.

sweet70, I'd be willing to bet that one of your trucks is a GMC. And therefore the difference. There should be no problem switching a Chevy Suburban sway bar onto a Chevy panel truck or vice versa. The same for GMC trucks. But don't think that a Chevy sway bar will fit on a GMC or vice versa.

What K10 says is correct about Chevy and GMC being different. However there is also a difference in early and later ADs. I don't remember where the switch was.

By the way, I can't make out any details in the miniature pictures.

Advance-Design sway-bar bushings:

1947 - early 1951
Late 1952 - 1955

Search Jim Carter, 47-55 catalog: sway bar bushing

Photos at the links above are too small to distinguish differences easily.

I don't know how to make the pictures bigger, any info on how to do it.
I have gotten my hands on a 53 GMC Suburban and the sway bar mounting is different on it vs. the other two. I know my panel is a Chevy because it has the Chev front cross member not the GMC's.

My 52 Chevy Panel is like the pic sweet posted of his 52 suburban...if its any help. Here is a pic of my "stuff".
Don't know if it'll help but thought I'd give a pic of it anyway.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
