For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 277 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 277 | Hi list,
I bought my project 55 1st series almost a year ago in Phoenix, I live in TN. My sister who lives in Phoenix has been kind enough to let me store in it her yard for the past year. Next month I am going to AZ to get the truck ready for transport (I will hire a company to move it as it does not run.
I figured that while I was out there I could do a little to it (find missing pieces). I found a really nice bed in Quartzite, AZ (its now in my sister's garage) that I will install and thought I would get a rear bumper and brackets too. Grumpy's is nearby, anyone know anything about them?
Thanks!
Joe

Based on a couple episodes, they are not very helpful when those parts fail. If time is not an issue I prefer to pay shipping from JC or The Filling Station.
One reason to visit, is that they have some nice used sheet metal (fenders, etc).

They let me walk through. I believe there are other similar salvage yards there also. As best as I can tell it is short of a hot spot for those type of salvage yards. don | | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 257 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 257 | You could check out Desert Vally auto parts (salvage yard specializing in classic autos & trucks), 23811 North 7th Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85085, (623) 780-8024. Patricks is there and some other wrecking yards.
