Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 187 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 187 | Hi all, I have 58, 3600 with a 235. I have 2 questions. 1 I have an oil bath air filter. The top part is a self contained unit that does not come apart. The filter part looks like it has fibreglass threads inside. I don't know how long this has been in there so I dont know how dirty it is but I would like to give it a clean. What should I use to clean this? Question 2. I have a steal canister oil filter. What can I use to clean this as well Thanks Rick

I use kerosene or diesel fuel. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | Rick, are you sure it doesn't come apart? Mine is similar, it's a tight fit but mine came apart. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 | Are the chevy's different than the GMC's? here's a thread from a few days ago with some pic's of a GMC's set up. The top comes off the bottom, but the top is 2 pieces but the metal has been curled around the edge so it cant come apart without me getting a screwdriver and pliers and mangling it all up
