What is the best way to remove the ignition switch from the dash? I have the replacement, but would like to know the best way to remove the nut to get the switch out of the dash.

Thanks in advance for your help!

There is a tool that will fit into the three slots on the front of the ignition bezel. I couldnt locate a tool, but used a really thin piece of steel (left over from body work), I bent it to catch two of the 3 slots and the bezel came off real easy. The ignition switch will drop out through the back. Did the opposite to reinstall.

I made one from a cheap imported 3/8" drive socket of the same diameter of the ignition switch bezel nut. Sit the socket on top of the bezel nut, mark the locations of the slots on the bezel nut on the socket. With a cutting wheel, remove the material around the perimeter of the socket, leaving only the knubs at the locations of the slots in the bezel nut...viola, you have a ignition switch bezel nut removal tool.

Everyone is assuming you have removed the tumbler from the switch already...... That takes a real expensive paper clip!!
