I've found some scrapped stainless pipe and was thinking of welding up my own system, but I need to know which pipe to get. Is there a size that would be "better" than stock? I know I don't want to go too big because I need back pressure. Thanks in advance!

The two bolt is 2", and the three bolt is 2.5" where the exhaust pipe bolts on. The three bolt bolt was more common in the bigger trucks.

The early models had 2 bolt flange & the later ones (about 71 on) used a 3 bolt but still had the same size outlet. The large trucks used a 3 bolt with 2 1/2 in. outlet. It pointed straight down. I would use 2 1/4 in. pipe reduced the the 2 in flange. You dont want back pressure. It is death to the ex. system on these engines. Use a free flow muffler.
