Greetings, all!

I've had several 1/2-tons (50, 49, 54, 51)years ago, and just bought a 52 COE.

I know next to nothing about the 'big' chassis stuff so hopefully folks here won't mind my dumb questions.
Thanks in advance! wink

Chevy 5-window. Just west of St. Louis.

I'm trying to figure out how to do the picture thing!

Welcome to the BIG Bolts Section wave

To share pictures you need to put them on a wedsite like Shutterfly and then give us the link.

Welcome BrewMeister
I'm also west of St. Louis and love living in the Midwest.
There are no dumb questions on this board. Ask away and we will all learn. The people here are great.

Have installed new tubless Budd wheels and new Michelins since the pic.

Lots more to come.

Thank you.

I was very happy to find it.

It is very solid. Has been kept indoors for many years.
It isn't perfect by any stretch, but won't be a killer of a resto either.

Can't tell for sure, but it looks like a 5400 (134"in.wheelbase) series. Not as many of them around. There were more 5700(158"in. wheelbase)series COE's built, than 5400, or 5100 series. Being a 5 window cab, is another added bonus. What are your plans for it? What type/size tubeless Budd wheels did you use? I've had close to thirty COE's, & best I can remember, only two, or three were 5 window cabs. I've got the only one now, that was full air brakes.

Thanks for the note, Spanky, you certainly sound like a good authority on COE's.

I'll measure the wheelbase and let you know for sure.

The Budds are 19.5".

And yes, I wondered how many of the COE's got the 5-window treatment.

I'm going to paint it, get the chrome redone, fix up the flatbed, and maybe... swap in a TBI-350 and 700R4.

It will be a beer truck for my brewery - advertising, festivals, parades, etc. And of course to deliver beer!

Lets see.
Brewmeister for your posted name, Brewtus for your great looking COE's name, you live west of St. Louis and you know where Mokane is.
Then you have to live around the Hermann area.
Good looking truck.

Hey brewmeister,
Good to see you on here. Welcome.
I recognized the truck as soon as I saw it, as I live just down the road from you. I am the one that stopped by, and we talked.
The ole truck is a beauty, and I wish I had bought it when I had the chance. Ha!!!

2-ton, I'm in Wentzville.

You pass right by me on your way to St. Louis.

The brewery is called Gallowglass Brewing Company.

*Gallowglass were mercenary warriors hired to fight under Irish warlords in the 13th - 15th centuries.

Where are you, Steve?

Brian, It has been said but I'll add another welcome to this very helpful site. You won't believe how helpful! I have a '46 6400 that I am bringing back to life in Oregon. I always had smaller old trucks previously so I can understand your feeling a bit awkward. There really are NO dumb questions, and you will get good answers here. Usually more than one in my experience. Your first picture is great! I will make this time saving offer, if you get the '46 you mentioned, I have bookmarked dozens of specific websites and tips that I have culled from these forums I would be happy to share if you get stuck on something. Best to you, LevisPop

I must have you mixed up with someone else, as the coe, I was talking about is just south of Desoto,Mo., about 3 miles. Wentzville is about 50 miles from me. Sorry about that, but, the trucks look exactly alike. even the old tires before the 19.5's were put on.
I live about 11 miles south of Desoto, Missouri.

Thank you very much LevisPop.

This forum has been fantastic thus far, truly great people - warm welcome.

I did buy the 46 yesterday. I have the disease... lol...

It is rough but the guy said he is scrapping it in 2 weeks.

Was $400 ok?

Thanks, Rich.

I could sell the grill, front clip, etc. and make money but I don't want to part it out.

I'll just sit on it and see what plays out.

Good buy on the 46. I can help cure the disease if you decide to sell it. If you do please keep me in mind. Thanks
