I have been looking around here and the 6066 GMC guys website and its such a great wealth of knowledge. I have had 5 old chevy trucks and currently have a 62 GMC one ton dump in sad shape and a 65 GMC 4000 . I,m planning on restoring the 4000 this winter. It only has 32,000 miles and runs great. The cab and hood are excellant but the fenders need replacing. I,ll try to get a few pictures posted this weekend. I picked it up at a nieghbors auction one mile from my house thinking I was going to use it as parts truck but it was so solid ,Ive switched gears from restoring my 62 one ton to working on the big boy. I have a masonry company here in frederick and hopefully will use this as a part time work truck, part time show truck. The truck came with a optional 351, two speed rear and I think the longest wheelbase 223" . The only bad is the two fenders are a little mangled. I've been trying to keep an ear out for a '66 C20 I owned and (regrettably) sold about 5 years ago to someone else in the state. At that time it was poorly painted faded bronze with a white roof and rustoleum red rockers (replaced). Seen it around?
