My truck is now converted to a 12 volt system. My question is? Can my 6 volt horn be used with a 12 volt system? For normal usage you'll just see (hear) a louder horn.

I installed a pair of 6v Chrysler Corp trumpet horns on a friend's 12v Triumph Spitfire in the 70's. His wife had complained that drivers could not hear the Triumph's anemic little horn. The blast from those 6v horns would almost push the lil' Spitfire backswards when she tooted them. Anemic horn problem solved!

The first time I hit the button, LOTS of old stuff blew out and then they
sounded like a semi on the freeway! Love the sound
