Tango,

Let me see if I can find that for you. The chromer is in Houston but very near Pasadena. Can't think of his shop name. Does great work. One bar on my grill was bent. He worked it until it was right.
I have an interior guy for you and will get you a name and number. He is on Hwy 6 south of 59. Does great work and very reasonably priced.

Tango,

Here is the chrome shop www.speedsportchrome.com/
The interior guy is Rocky at(281)489-2580.
Yeah, I do make some shows. Have you come up here for Cars and Coffee at The Vintage? Mostly new stuff, but a lot of people appreciate the old. We did Autorama at Thanksgiving. We will do Keels and Wheels in the spring.

Tango,
Got to looking at your pix. That is going to be sweet. Are you going back to the school bus interior or something different? I'd love to see it.

Hey Mark --- many thanks for the leads. Coming from another Bolter beats Angie's List! Will touch base with both of them after Christmas and tell'em hello for you.

The bus is going to be a long range RV with only the bare necessities. Small jacknife sofa/bed, shower, toilet, kitchenette and hopefully a little space left for some tools & equipment. I teach a few classes in sculpting cement (yeah, ceement) around the country and this will be my mobile shop/studio. There are a couple of Google SketchUp drawings of the basic layout somewhere in my Flickr Album. If your ever in the big, wicked city you are welcome to stop by, just shoot me a note ahead of time. It's at a different location than my everyday shop.
Familiar with Keels & Wheels but not the Cars & Coffee. Is that up in your neck of the woods?

Sounds cool, I will mark my calendar & try and make it. Used to live in Rosehill, just west of Tomball, so I'm familiar with the area.

I was in Bastrop the other day and spotted a pair of front finders for a 53. To me they looked to be in good shape. They were $50 each.I don't know why I didn't take pic's. I guess I was just not thinking. But if you need them they are at the Bastrop Auto Salvage.1552 ST HWY 71 W. Phone #512-303-7677 or 512-303-2000. I was there buying headlight buckets for my 52.

Been MIA from the forum for a while as I have been working on some other projects, mainly a new house and shop so I can work on my 49. Glad to see that we have our own Texas Spot.

Hey Tango,

I'm no sure I will be able to make it to the Cars and Coffee tomorrow. February is not good either. March should work. Let me know if you will make it then.

Ya, I'm overloaded with work here myself and won't make it this weekend. I do plan on hitting the Winter Swap Meet in Conroe this February though. It's Feb. 17th - Feb.19th, 2012. Hope to see some Bolters there.

Come to think of it, I'll start a new thread on it as well.

Guys, it would be helpful if everyone with just "Texas" as their location would add the name of their town.

In looking at your pics is see a spring on your hood latch. I don't remember one on mine and in checking out LMC and Chevy Duty I don't see one listed. What am I missing other than the spring?

Sounds like we are on the same schedule Tango, sometimes it seems like I will never get to drive my truck again. It was a daily driver for about 20 years but has been dismantled now for about three years and I miss driving it.

Howdy y'all,
I'm in Sugar Land, and just recently purchased a 49 3100. Runs good, but I'm replacing the 4.11 with a 3.55 that came with it, hope to hook up with some of y'all in the future.
