They'll be a little, wider but they should work. You'll have to do some fabricating by cutting off the old and welding on new spring and shock mounts. If you want to upgrade your brakes on all 4 corners, try finding a 1/2 ton front axle assembly and a later model 6 lug rearend. | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | I'm with Whitedog on this, having helped do a Dana 60 swap on a '49 3800. The Dodge version is a perfect fit. It would be much better that going to an S10 or passenger car rear with much smaller brakes.

It was almost the same width as the stock rear end. | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 123 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 123 | thanks for the input...looking for a 1/2 ton front end now. got my fingers crossed I can find one | | |
