I have a 1948 5 window link to pictures below....but question is i have the side vent on drivers side..was going to order new outer cowl and it says 51 to 55 had them but not before...is this right...if so i guess someone added it later....thanks for help

The flow through vent was used on the 1947/1950 models as they did not have the door vent wings, they came with the 1951 and up models. I do not believe they make the 1947/1950 side vent cowl replacements, you will have to use the 1951 and up cowl panel and add your old vent. They do make shorter cowl patches that allow you do leave your vent in place. This interior patch panel is correct for your year when replacing the inner cowl panel.

Dont understand why they did not make a full size patch panel (cowl Panel) for driver side with vent hole....but oh well thanks
