I have a 1953 Chev 6100 in good shape, butno bench seat. Having a hard time finding one, and wondered if anyone has tried another solution?
I measured a 1988 Dakota bench seat, and it looked like it might work, but it sure doesn't look original.
Any suggestions?

Im putting a front seat from a 2001 Lincoln Town Car in my 54 P/U. Fits just right (you have to make a custom riser) and is very comfortable.

If you're looking to stay original, I have a seat from my 3600 you can have, no frame just the seat bottom and back.

Big Chevy has the correct seat for your truck the earlier seat 1947-1949 models is 2-1/2" shorter in width.

I used a 60/40 seat from a 1990ish Full-size Chevy pickup on my 1952 1/2 Ton. It fits nice and is much more comfortable than the stock seat. The 1990ish seat riser needed some cross pieces to level it off, but otherwise went in easy.
