I only have a little work for this, but the price is right. Anyone ever use this one from Harbor?

I have never used or seen one myself. I think a few YouTube videos are available giving demonstrations. Criticisms have been that the slaphammer is of low quality, but the spot welder works good.

Customer reviews gave it a 4.8 out of 5 stars and all 5 responders said they'd recommend it to a friend. I also considered buying one but the timing is not right for me since I won't need it for another few months.

I have a slide hammer already. Maybe I can use that one instead of the Harbor Freight. I'm going to take a chance with it. Looks just like the one offered at my local tool center, but like 1/3 the price.

Probably has 1/3 the copper also. I bought two of the Ultrasonic cleaners and I could have gotten as much vibration out of a transistor radio as I get out of those units, they're usless.

I have one and the stud welder works great but the slid hammer is on the crapy side, doesn't grip like it should all the time

Bought one to pull out some dents om my 39 GMC and the Stud welder completely stopped working after trying to weld only 4 studs. It would arc before I pushed the button. I took it back last week and got a rain check because they are on sell for $99. The store did not get any in on their truck on Tuesday and online is on back order. I drove 45 min to the next closest store because they only had two left. That was Wed 12/14/2011. I returned it last night 12/16/2011. The studs just kept pulling off after one pull with the slide hammer. Slide hammer is the biggest piece of junk like everyone says. If you really want to buy one keep your receipt so you can return it.

I took a look at it and am holding off on buying one. The slide hammer does look poorly constructed. For what I need to do, I think I can get away from using it. I did pick up a compression tester, and an automotive multitester. I don't trust my 35 year old dwell meter.
