So I changed to a 12 v. regulator. I took off the voltage regulator and generator and replaced it with the one wire regulator.I run the regulator wire to the starter. I was told that it could be to the starter or bat but something is a dead short with the wire to the starter. What did I do wrong or what am I not doing. This is all new to me but I love to learn. The main feed wire should be able to hook right to the hot lead on the bat or starter. You either have reverse polarity or a defective alt. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
