| | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 74 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 74 | My 1948 chev panel truck had a 12v. generator in but did not work. So I changed to a 12 v. regulator. I took off the voltage regulator and generator and replaced it with the one wire regulator.I run the regulator wire to the starter. I was told that it could be to the starter or bat but something is a dead short with the wire to the starter. What did I do wrong or what am I not doing. This is all new to me but I love to learn.
