found this on my tranny, I figure its a PTO or some drive for a hyd cylinder Its a PW 160 wheelbase no bed any ideas

Not sure what "this" is that your talking about but I've never heard of a PTO named a Detroit Harvester and I was in that business for many, many years.

I suggest you clarify your question and repost.

this is bigchev46s son. the thing he is talking about looks like some kind of hydraulic pump. its mounted on the drivers side of the tranny. neither one of us is very good with computers or we would post a picture

Detroit Harvester manufactured sickle bars during the 50's. I think they also manufactured a roto tiller. Much of their stuff was marketed by Ford Dearborne. Possibly they offered some kind of a kit to run off of a truck PTO.
