One of many more questions to come:

Does anybody want to guess what the original colors for the truck were by looking at the pictures?
I would really like to know, but I guess there is no way to really find out, excpet for to look at areas that hopefully did not get painted! How do folks figure out color combinations they are choosing for thier truck? Fendres vs body etc? I don't mean the correct year specifc or available combos, but the truck specific ones?
Thanks,
Andy

It looks like to standard, original green color - was that Brewster Green? Do the fenders look black? That was a common (if not standard) combination.

Someone recently posted a link to at least one very informative website with color information for 41-46 trucks.

Thanks tom. Got plenty of info about the correct colors for the year etc, but just trying to establish what mine was originally. Lots of red on there too!??!

According to this info, and what there is left of the factory paint, my 41 was Swift Red with black fenders. Cool! and thanks heaps for this site ! I think I might go with Victory red with black fenders when it goes together since its not a restoration.

In such a khonstant state of khaos I dont know what project to work on first.
