For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 220 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 220 | I am getting ready to put the front fenders on my 64. There are two bolts at the rear of the fender. These are 3/8 fine thread (they are defiantly not coarse thread). I think they also come with a loose washer just under the bolt head. Does anyone know of a vendor that sells them. I have been looking and cannot locate anyone selling them. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 189 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 189 | i have them used in good shape. I know it is not the same as reusing a head bolt, however I was just wondering if they were available new. I figured they couldn't cost that much. Guess I will just clean mine up. I do appreciate the offer though. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 93 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 93 | Rusty64: Those bolts are 3/8" SAE thread. You should be able to buy new ones at any hardware store if you are not worried about the originality of the bolt head. regards, Steve New Orleans

Most any fastener house should have them close to you. I don't know if they do mail order, but we get ours at Hillco Fastener in Garden Grove,CA. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 | I sent you a PM, if you are still in search of the factory-correct fasteners with the integral wide-flange washer.
Let me know if I can help and have a great day. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 335 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 335 | | | |
