Can I cut off the cross braces on the support bracket? I went with the four core radiator and there is only about an inch between the radiator and the short shaft pulley. I have a mustang 2 frontend. will that keep the frontend from flexing or will it still compromise the radiator?

I could make some brackets for the corners. the bottom is angled. I have the fan mounted to the crossing support bars right now. It seems to lose alot of volume thow the radiator. I don't have them on my 50 3100 and everything lines up okay. I also changed out the stock radiator. I'm still using the water pump mounted fan but I have a 16" fan I'm going to mount and do away with the old style fan
