I'm installing a 1972 delco am/fm into my '68 burb and have a question about the antenna hook up. Does anybody know how the antenna hooks up on these radios? It doesn't have the typical pin plug in type on the back of the radio. I have power to the radio but no sound. I cannot figure out the antenna. Also, should it be that the radio won't power unless the antenna is plugged in even with a power supply wire to the radio already???

There is a hole somewhere in that radio for the ant. con. . They used the standard connector for many years. You should have power going to the radio regardles of the ant. Be sure it is grounded. & the speakers are hooked up correctly.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Hole is correct. It won't use a 6 or 9 pin plug but a plain old single stick plug. What kind of antenna do you have?

I finally got it working, there were a couple of gremlins to work out but it plays. Can I run two 8 ohm speakers off the old radio w/o harming it and what size fuse? Owners manual says a 3 amp, but this is a slightly newer (72) radio than the burb is (shes a 68)

Shouldn't be a problem.
