Does anybody know how the antenna hooks up on these radios? It doesn't have the typical pin plug in type on the back of the radio. I have power to the radio but no sound. I cannot figure out the antenna. Also, should it be that the radio won't power unless the antenna is plugged in even with a power supply wire to the radio already??? | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | There is a hole somewhere in that radio for the ant. con. . They used the standard connector for many years. You should have power going to the radio regardles of the ant. Be sure it is grounded. & the speakers are hooked up correctly. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. It won't use a 6 or 9 pin plug but a plain old single stick plug. What kind of antenna do you have?

Can I run two 8 ohm speakers off the old radio w/o harming it and what size fuse? Owners manual says a 3 amp, but this is a slightly newer (72) radio than the burb is (shes a 68) | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 |
