Or this one if you need 25 amps. (Same info that I posted earlier re: 6v radios in 12v systems.) It's what I will use if I ever get my electric wipers working. I have a 12v motor in my heater so I don't need a voltage reducer for it. That is a sweet looking '51 and a great family photo.

It costs $4.00 from an electronics supply. You need a 1 ohm 50 watt resistor. They come encased in aluminum and are made to attach to sheet metal for heat dissipation. example resistor

Also have a '54 belair with 12 volt. I am using a 6 volt heater in both without a reducer. The belair has been working for 10 years. They both work well on 12 volt with no reducer. Both are like on steriods. Maybe the electrical gurus might have some input. | | |
