Looking for a good complete engine kit for a 60 235 with a PG. I want to get everything to make this thing new again and had hoped to find everything in a "one stop shopping" type kit. Does anyone have any suggestions/experience that you can share? Thanks, Chuck

Try Egge Machine. I think they may sell an entire OH kit. I don't have their number but you can find it.

Found it for you. 800-866-3443 in Sante Fe Sprgs, CA

Kit # CV235M56-62WPG contains most everything but gaskets looks like.

Cayo,

In my search for the same thing I came up with the following list of vendors and I'm sure there are a ton more if you look around.

Egge Machine Company
Kanter Auto Products
Patrick's Antique Cars & Trucks 520-836-1117
Falcon global (eBay)
Clegg auto machine 1-888-471-2827
Titan engines (eBay)
Grumpy's performance center (eBay) (503) 829-6158

I shopped around and ended up using a combination of Clegg and Patrick's. Most of the listed vendors will put a custom kit together if you call. Clegg was the cheapest and they just drop shipped me a box from performance warehouse, I think most of the eBay dealers do the same. If you had all the part numbers you could probably get your local machinist to buy direct from performance warehouse if they have an account there. I bought most of my parts from Clegg and my cam, lifters and pushrods from Patrick's.

I wouldn't suggest replacing your rocker assembly, I don't think what's available is very high quality. A good used set or having yours rebuilt is a better way to go.

To be honest there isn't much in the way of parts selection with the 235 like there is with say a SBC so you are shopping on price for a lot of parts and shopping for quality on only a few, like cam and litters. Really it comes down to what you are picky about, some guys don't trust new oil pumps, some don't think you can get good new hydraulic litters, I don't trust new rocker assemblies. Hopefully this helps.
