For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 112 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 112 | I've just bought a '69 C-10 like the one my dad had when I was a kid. The one obvious difference is the manual choke knob on the dash just to the left of the radio. My dad's truck did not have this. Can this be original from the factory, or was it definitely added by a previous owner?

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Although manual chokes were available in some cases, they were found below the wiper switch in the instrument cluster. If you happen to remove the instrument panel, you'll see the choke mount. I have a '71 C-10 and a '69 C-20, so I've been there.

I looked at your pictures and that is one NICE '69! Take good care of it, ones like that are hard to find! I wish ANY truck that I'd bought was that good. Keep us posted the upgrades.
