How would I go about doing this after I get the parts from the donor truck? Anything is helpful.
P.S, The trucks pics, current state, my plans for it's future, and more detailed plans are in my posts and is called fixing the family truck. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 194 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 194 | Anyone? When we'd get parts we'd use the Factory Shop manual and order from our local Parts supplier. I did note that more than once his supplier was getting those parts from a Buick dealer in an adjacent large town. We ran those rigs for years and they did hold their own. When the 348 truck engines showed in 1958 we got two of those also. The '55's would run the legs off those GM truck version 348's. The pump is mounted to the back of the generater, the actuation valve is on the drag link and there is a cylinder attached to the frame and tie rod. Not true power steering, it's power assist.
