I finished the wiring on the 1930 today. All I have left to do is find a starter and a radiator cap, and finish running the brake lines. I have the break lines and master cylinder finished on the 1954. Now all I need to do is finish the wiring.
I still need to finish the body work on both trucks. The 54 still needs a back bumper and some windows installed.

Bart, your the man. Anyone that can work on two trucks at once has got to be talented... but I did notice some really good help.

I've always been a fan of the 27/29/29/30's trucks. Some day maybe I'll luck up on one.

I see you replaced all the wood. Was the old stuff good enough for a pattern or did you have to buy the kit?? Just curious for future reference.

Thanks for the update and keep us posted...please.

The 1930 had been an ice truck. The bed had been destroyed in a fire. I found plans for a bed online and bought the lumber at the local hardware store. My son painted on the red wood preservative.

Your 1930 appears to have a 216 in it. Is that the way it came?

I agree that you are the man! Having your son work on it too is pertty special.

Nice trucks, and having a helper makes it more special! Really like the '30, they are pretty much extinct around here....

Bart, I am John Rossi, flivverjack, and just bought a 1930 chevy pickup from Duffy's in Iowa....coming to me next week...The ID number they gave me is "21LT-5381"...I went to Vehicle Historyinc.com and they preformed a search and could not find anything relating to that number...it was advertised as Independence, but I found it was a Universal, they said the spare with it is not right , but if I have touble give them a call...It looks like your truck and is green with black fenders and wood deck....beautiful, and I love it...Can you help me identify it..? thanks Bart for any aid you may provide...flivverjack

My 1954 is almost ready to drive. I need to install a few guages and some glass. I am planning a rear end swap. It has a 1/2 ton rear end on it right now. But I would like to put a Chevy 6 lug rear end under it.
