I couldn't find replacements that were correct, i found some that were not a truck type tire made for older cars, so I bought some 7.50-17. I just aquired some NOS 7.00-17 BFG's. They are perfect and unmounted. Are these hard to find? Should I use them on a truck I plan to drive a lot, or save them for more of a show truck? Thanks,

I have used them for years and just had some recapped. They look good and work fine. I believe they cost about $150 apiece around here.

I got them on my '48 3800. Very happy with them. Put almost 40K miles on them now. The truck is a daily driver. In the tire market for new replacement, anything over 4 years old generaly isn't sold, due to liabilties over tire age. Unless you know how the tires were stored, and the age of the tires (6 years or less), I would not suggest using them as daily use tires.
