I am still a novice but would like to know when to replave the clutch? It looks OK but what do I know? I can send a pic to anyone you would like to comment. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 591 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 591 | I would replace it now. It's a relatively cheap item (especially if your pressure plate is good). It's a lot easier to replace it now than later. Don't forget a new throw -out bearing if you decide to replace it. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 310 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 310 | I'd replace everything, pressure plate included. I just bought a new one for the '51 (with a '54-up clutch). The whole kit cost a little less than $115. It even came with an alignment tool.

If you replace whole assembly get a new matched set. The remans are very inconsistant. Dont foget the pilot bearing. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
