I haven't started the truck since I've owned it and figured it didn't work because the previous owner had put an electric pump on it. Assuming the broken off pump arm is inside of the engine, would it cause any problems? Would it be in the crank case?

The pump arm was either sheered off or cut off. The pump doesn't look original and appears to be mounted upside down. Found about a 1/4" of sludge in the bottom of the pan which was expected on a vehicle this old, everything else looked great. Just put a fresh coat of primer/paint on the pan while I had it off. Should have it back on the engine in no time. | | |
