I want to use a 1955 235 6 cylinder instead of the original 1931 6cyl. I would like to use the original transmission and torque tube. Any idea as to what is involved in changing it out? I would like to keep the bell housing too if possible. I put a 235 in a 1929 using a 1938-46 truck bell housing and a 1937-39 truck 3 speed. This worked well. It was necessary to trim the front of the rear cross member for pan clearance.
This should work the same in your 31.
